Quiz Teams Compete in District Finals
Wow, what do I say? I feel privileged to be a part of the quizzing experience for all of our kids. We had 2 teams; 1 novice and 1 exp. with four kids on each team. Novice consisted of Jerry Kline, Mikayla Benson, Maria Bloomingdale and Alicia Benson. This team finished the year in 7th place. All of them worked very hard this year and it showed at finals.
Our exp. team consisted of Marji Lonberger (PK) and a senior this year she will be dearly missed but I'm expecting her to show up as a scorekeeper or quizmaster for our monthly quizzes, Damian Benson was our memory verse specialist, Bryan Kline showed the most improvement over the year, and last but not least was Cory Taylor who has been in the top 10 almost every quiz and made it in the top 10 for Regionals, Cory and his family moved to Wisconsin a few months ago but they faithfully brought him back for the meets, he plans on trying to get on a team up there for next year, we will miss Cory too!
I praise God for quizzing and His Word, the kids and their commitment to attend practices and the church for having the faith in me to lead our kids in this ministry, and more importantly I praise God for His son Jesus Christ who is my Savior and I want to share that with our kids through my life as we study God's Word together.
